Whether it was the internment of Japanese Americans during WW2 or this new habit of arresting Chinese American academics for unclear reasons; it seems that for a nation that's successfully built itself on a history of immigration, the American State has concomitantly nurtured a nasty tendency to deem itself the arbiter of who's the most loyal of all its citizenry.

  2. Boris Borcic "Human beings are born equal in rights and dignity," agreed. And that's why racial profiling (which is the subject of this article), is an abomination. And to further undergird this human dignity that you have mentioned, the law provides for presumption of innocence until a crime (and being Chinese or Asian American is not a crime) has been fully proved.
